History

Founder Giorgio Gardi (center in photo with sponsored N.A.T.O. bowling team 1962) started the business as sales representative at HQ Afsouth N.A.T.O in Napoli in the 50’s, and the first official appointment in the Italian Volkswagen organization (Autogerma) was with the Vomero agency code 264/024.

In the 70’s a new site was acquired in Agnano right in front of Naval Support Activity U.S. 6th fleet in the Mediterranean. After few years a new larger site was on project at the same location in Agnano. In 1989 the actual facility (photo below) was operational
